type course

 

 

Course Introduction

 

For non-licensed engineers an Introduction to Type Course is provided for mechanics who require a more general knowledge of a particular helicopter type so that licensed engineers can be more effectively supported. 

The Introduction to Type Course is also available to commercial and associated support staff who could benefit from a general understanding of a particular helicopter to facilitate their daily communications with engineers and operator customers.

 

 

This comprehensive course provides a more general and less detailed overview of subjects covered by our EASA Approved Part 147 Type Rating Training Courses.

For Type Rating Courses please refer to the Type Rating Course appropriate to the helicopter of interest.

 

Introduction to Type Courses are currently available for the MD Explorer, Bo105, EC135 and Dauphin helicopter and cover the airframe, airframe systems and engines.

 

 

Location

The course is carried out at SAS’ EASA 147 Approved Training Organisation located at Gloucester (Staverton) Airport in Gloucestershire.
