Aircraft Modifications
Taking delivery of an ex-factory 'green' aircraft and modifying
it to customer requirements is a routine task for SAS. They use
a modular architecture so that, after delivery, customers can
take advantage of the continual developments in technology. CAD
designers and skilled engineers are experienced in integrating
state-of-the-art communications, navigation and surveillance
or medical equipment into the most effective - and cost-effective
- platform possible.
For the latest MD902 series helicopters, SAS engineers have
designed in-house and installed rear cabin work stations, belly
panniers and quick-release nose sensor mounts for police machines,
and medical racks and equipment stowage mounts for air ambulances.
