Specialist Aviation Services is a leading aviation provider to the emergency services with headquarters at a purpose built facility at Gloucestershire Airport near Cheltenham.
Purpose of Role:
This role is a support role including all tasks associated with the preparation and administration of design, certification and production data. This is not a design role, but rather a record keeping/planning support role and covers the 21J (Design), 21G (Manufacturing) and associated Part 145 (Installation) activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that Projects are closed down and archived
Assist the Project Manager/Project Planner in all aspects of project management.
Update project schedule as directed
Administration of hours worked (i.e. collect and check time cards; raise new SV/MP numbers).
Assist Project Manager with keeping Resource Plan up-to-date.
Maintain training records and advise Director of Completions of training requirements in a timely manner.
Monitor and ensure medicals of paint shop approved personnel are in date
Design, Certification and Production data administration and archiving, including:
Scan & file drawings and other design data (incl. Concessions, DQNs)
Create and update Aerotrac entries for released design documents
Issue drawings and maintain records
Maintain MOD register
Maintain DQN register; ensure DQNs are registered and passed to appropriate design engineer; ensure response gets to production staff and is recorded in work pack.
Maintain Concessions register; ensure concession requests are registered and passed to appropriate design engineer; ensure response gets to production staff and is recorded in work pack.
Raise manufacturing and installation projects on Aerotrac
Create and maintain tracking sheets.
Assist Project Planner with compiling work packs and updating of work packs & kits in line with design data changes.
Form 1s are documented and archived correctly
